“What is bondage and what is freedom? I don’t think there can be any difference. Both are concepts. Where do these concepts rise from? Let us go to that place. It is the thought, it is the mind, which is concealing the freedom. Underneath is something we do not know. Any thought that rises from the mind has to be ‘I.’ ‘I’ is the first thought. Then ‘I’ becomes mind. Mind becomes bound. Mind wants to be happy, or free. So, I-thought. What are you going to do with this I-thought?”
This compilation put together for Gurupurnima 2023 is entirely from unreleased footage of Papaji visiting Kathmandu in 1993 and includes his meeting with Tibetan teacher Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche at Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling monastery in Boudhanath.
“Mind means direction. Therefore don’t give any direction to the mind, it will take you to 35 million years circle. Any claim is mind. It rises from the mind. What I speak is beyond language.
