A single instruction is enough

This compilation put together for Papaji’s 27th Mahasamadhi anniversary, starts with an early discourse from the 1st of August 1992. “A single instruction imparted by a teacher to the student is enough. Because what the teacher is going to tell you is: You are Brahman. You are Absolute Self. You are Existence, Consciousness, Bliss. Sat Chit Anand. Satyam Shivam Sundaram. This is what you are. This is what the absolute Self is. How could it be denied? You have to enquire onto your own Self. Everyone has to conduct this enquiry to break the habits of the mind. Facing the truth is satsang.”
The compilation includes two encounters from December 1992.
NIETI asks: “There is no answer to ‘who am I?’ but only stillness and nothingness. Is it really so simple?” Papaji: “Nothing is simpler as that . To suffer you must bring so many things, but to be happy you just keep quiet, keep alone and you are happy.” Papaji gives the example of deep sleep state and calls her ARATI ( waving of light in the heart).
JOHN asks: “Who wants not to be reborn? Is it enough to be aware of ignorance?” Papaji: “This concept of rebirth is the root cause of samsara. Some people like rebirth and hanging down in the black hole. It is quite enough to be aware of ignorance. Trust must be very simple, don’t complicate it.” Papaji tells the story of a new born in New York who shouted, “Oh no. Not again!” as soon as he came out of the womb.
