19th January 1996 – Reading Saint Kabir

Around 1995 Papaji started to read spiritual books. He read The Yoga Vashishta, The Ribhu Gita, The Ashtavakra Gita, The Bhagavad Gita, Sri Guru Gita, Saint Kabir, Swami Rama Tirtha, Advaita Bodha Deepika, Viveka Chudamani, Panchdasi. During this satsang Papaji reads from ‘Songs of Kabir.’

PREM KUMARI: “I am in your presence wherever I am.”
YUKI mentions the instance when Papaji told a French monk to throw his bag into the Ganga and asks, “What bag do I have to throw in the Ganga for instant enlightenment?” Papaji: “If you have any desires you cannot be enlightened instantly. Throw the bag containing freedom, which is also a concept.”-
FRED: “I do not know who I am.” Papaji plays with word reading his letter and he explodes in a spontaneous laughter.
ALEYA: Papaji suggests Doctor Kabir for treating her grandson who has cancer.
KATIA: “The only desire left is to expire into emptiness.” Papaji: “God of death does not come near the one who comes to Satsang. and who has no ambition.”
