Name and Form Hide the Truth

So here in Satsang you ask, “Who am I?”  Slowly you will return back home, finally, and get rid of all this illusion permanently.

When there is illusion of everything that you have, everything you can hold and touch, the substance is hidden with the name and form. I will tell you what to do. You see your name now. That is name. Form is this: your age, your country, your looks, your sex. So this is form. This is concealing the reality.

Now I ask you. Whether you are waking or sleeping, ask this question and get rid of name and form. Wherever there is name and form, there is falsehood because name and form are not permanent. Ask this question: Without name and form, who am I?” If you don’t recognize name and form, which are not real, who are you? You are not this dress; you are not this hair; you are not what you are wearing. These, you are not. The body, you are not. Mind, you are not. So what’s left?

It’s Being that is left. Non-being will be wiped away and Being will be there. Then beauty will be there, eternity will be there. And that’s what you are.

So take care of the body because this is a very rare gift that nature gives you, Take very good care of it because it is a temple. And this will be useful for your higher attainment of knowledge. Therefore, respect this body. Don’t ignore it. Keep it well and fit, up to the complete human life span, whatever it is, maybe 80 or 90 years. If you have health troubles or a tooth is aching, you can’t meditate. So take good care of the body; this is a temple of God. God is seated in your Heart. “This body is a temple,” they say. Is that clear?

I don’t advise anyone to take leave from life, to run away from life or from life’s activities and routines, It’s just easy to spend a few minutes before you sleep and sit quiet. That’s all. If you don’t find time, do it anyway. You will always have time if you want to do it. Just sit quiet and meditate. You get a chance everywhere. Even in your office, you get a chance. Even between one breath and the next breath, you get a chance. Can’t you spend this much time on your own Self?

I don’t want you to spend long times in meditation. There is no need to join any ashram or spiritual center. Don’t hide yourself in the caves of the Himalayas.

You are not foxes. You are a human being and can live in society. You can even meditate in Hazrat Ganj. Just take the time between breaths to meditate. It’s enough for Enlightenment.
