Self Effort and Faith
This video compiled for Papaji’s 109th Birthday Celebration includes the following clips:
. A discourse on SELF EFFORT & FAITH. Contrary to his usual guidance, Papaji explains that without any effort the mind slips back into mischief. One has to follow the instruction of the teacher and put it into practice and not rest until one is successful. Faith alone will not do. At the end of the discourse Papaji explains that if one doesn’t believe in effortlessness, then he/she should make as much effort as one likes.
. A wild meeting with a young lady who is still in love with samsara. Papaji tells her that she is like the she-pig who loves to live in garbage and makes her look into a mirror. She has a cathartic release and wild awakening.
. One guy dreams of turning into a lion but wakes up as a moth. Papaji tells him that now he has to roar: ‘I am Free’ and that’s enough.
. Papaji replies to an anonymous letter which says “Love is my sickness and my cure poem. It’s the secret bar where to drink the nectar.” P: “Every moment you get more intoxicated. You have to walk the razor’s edge where not two are abreast, where there is neither you nor your mind.
