Ask Your Questions
Excerpt from The Truth Is
Edited by Prashanti de Jager, page 117
Two people have no more questions. One is a wise person and so they have nothing to ask; a man at home is not lost. The other one is someone who doesn’t know that there is something to question. So some have no question on account of their Light and Wisdom. But some simply do not know.
So when the questions arise, please don’t be discouraged or disheartened because it is a good sign. All the mud which has settle below the surface of the mind arises when stirred and is on its way out in the form of a question. Therefore, the questions have to be asked and so don’t be shy to ask them. When these doubts have been removed you will see the reflection of your own Self within the mirror of your own mind. Then you will recognize that this is what you came here for and you can’t do this when the surface is disturbed.
When you come to a teacher you are obliged to ask a question because there is no person who has solved this question. Those who are born have a question: How to be happy? Nobody, from the king to the farmer is happy. So, ask the teacher, “How to be at rest now, how to be peaceful, how to love my own Self and everybody else?” Like this, I request that you ask the question, “How to remain at Peace?”
