21st December 1992 – Don’t doubt about your Majesty
This beautiful satsang from the 21st of December 1992 starts with a discourse on silence.
“The purpose of all the practices is Silence. The ground of each activity it is silence, which is your fundamental nature. The main teaching of Ramana is silence. How to be silent? Direct your mind towards its source and you are at home. This is called Satsang. Search no name and form, it is you. Keep quiet, do not think, don’t exert either and it is you. Don’t doubt about your Majesty.”
This discourse was used in ‘Return to silence’ compilation: https://youtu.be/RJFmqPBXvFQ
The satsang includes the following interactions:
*SHOBA: “Please take care of the Self 25 hours a day.”
Papaji: “No time after 24 hours belongs to the Self. This time is to keep quiet and it will take care of everything.”
*SADHANA: “There is nothing more to ask for? Allelujah”
*SURESHA Sings ‘Nothing is said, nothing is heard and the heart starts dancing with the Master.’
*SAHAYO: “Why can I see other people and not myself?”
Papaji: “When you see people you see Self. It is because of Self that the husband can see the wife. Without seeing and being the Self, can you see anything? There is nothing else except the Self.”
*ATMANANDA: “Why does the mind arise after seeing that it doesn’t exist? Who sees the mind? Where is the seer?”
Papaji: “After cremation the ghost of the mind comes to see its cremation and enjoys. The no-mind will see this mind. The no-mind is the seer, as in sleep. It is present even now. Silence is called no-mind. There is yet another place where mind and no-mind do not appear, you have to dig more. Work for total destruction of the mind so that you lose even the meaning of mind.
*PREM SANGHEETA: “Could you help me to find the key to open this and give living silence?”
Papaji: “This is a number lock. If I announce this number it’s no use to have a lock at all.”
*ANONIMOUS: “Gratitude beyond words.”
Papaji: “Consciousness is even aware of nothingness, how can it hide anywhere and what is the purpose?”
