This is a long discourse in which the false promises of all the pleasures of the world of form are exposed . Papaji does not leave the listener in hopelessness but goes on to explain how to avoid the suffering that comes from the pursuit of pleasure. He speaks of Self Knowledge in which one sees through the illusion of the ego and its promises to the Reality in which we abide. It is called freedom, peace, happiness, beauty and love. This talk includes a beautiful description of ego and the means by which it deflects us from the realization of that place where we are eternally seated.

Papaji gives a very clear explanation of enlightenment and why it seems, so often, to be impossible to attain. He says, despite the believe in the separation from That which one is, that it is possible to realize the truth about oneself this very moment and goes on to tell us how. He finishes this talk with a provocative and profound statement: “The ultimate truth is that nothing ever existed. It’s all Silence.”
